1. Open the template in the Simple Sheet app.
2. Enter your total budget (the absolute maximum you are willing to spend) in the Base field.
3. Deduct your estimated expenses using the rows below.
4. The final remaining number is your "Emergency Fund" or buffer money.
A: A good rule of thumb is to keep at least 10% to 15% of your total budget unallocated. This covers unexpected costs like a missed train, medical emergency, or an irresistible souvenir.
A: Yes! Simply enter the numbers in the currency of your destination, just make sure your "Total Budget" base is also converted to that same currency before calculating.
